🎈🎉 Happy 67th Day of School, Cubs! 🎉🎈 Today was all about the numbers 6️⃣ and 7️⃣, and our Cubs celebrated in the most fun ways! ✨ Mrs. Dennis kicked off the day with hilarious number-themed jokes on the announcements 😂 ✨ Balloons decorated the halls to keep the celebration popping 🎈 ✨ And the BEST surprise… our teachers showed up wearing the numbers 6 and 7! 👕✨ Our Cubs were Empowered Learners as they explored number fun all day long — laughing, learning, and leading the way with joyful energy! 💙📚🐾 We love, learn, and lead every I day at SCES… but today felt extra fun! ✨💛

🧸 Lost & Found Time! ✨ Parents, we’ve collected a small mountain of jackets, water bottles, and treasures that miss their owners! 😅💛 Please take a moment to check if one of them belongs to your kiddo. 👉 Head over to the SCES Facebook page to see all the individual items. 👉 Comment on the picture of the item you’re claiming with your child’s name AND their teacher’s name so we can get it home safely! 🏡💖 The app only lets us post a few photos 📸— but don’t worry! 🍪🧁 Big & Little Chefs in Action! 🧁🍪

Our High School Culinary Arts seniors teamed up with their kindergarten buddies for a truly sweet learning experience — baking and decorating sugar cookies together! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳💛

This wasn’t just about cookies — it was about leadership, learning, and laughter! 🎉 Seniors stepped up as mentors, guiding their little chefs through two fun-filled days of hands-on learning. From washing hands and measuring ingredients 🧼📏 to rolling dough and making icing 🎨🍬, everyone practiced real-world skills while mixing in tons of fun!

Our Cubs embodied our Profile of a Learner in every way:
💬 Effective Communicators – Little chefs introduced themselves with confident handshakes and asked thoughtful baking questions!
🤝 Active Collaborators – Big and little chefs worked side-by-side to create the perfect batch.

Today our students had the exciting opportunity to hear from former SCES Cub and current WDRB Producer, Kylie Pollett! Kylie shared what it’s like to work behind the scenes at WDRB and offered valuable tips to help our Bearly News team continue to grow as effective communicators and active collaborators. Students were thrilled to share their own experiences producing our school newscast and loved hearing how the skills they’re learning now connect to real-world careers in media and storytelling. A few weeks ago, our Cubs with birthdays in October visited the vending machine and chose a book for their birthday. Thanks PTO for this awesome way to make our birthdays special!

📚✨ Librarian for the Day! ✨📚 Today, Claire Lubbers took charge of the library as Librarian for the Day! 🤓💫 She earned this amazing opportunity at our annual Fall Festival auction and did an incredible job helping students find their next favorite book! 📖💙 Claire showed what it means to be an Empowered Learner and Effective Communicator, spreading her love of reading and leadership all around the library! 🌟👏 At SCES, we always Love. Learn. Lead. — and Claire did all three today! 💕📚🦁
