🎁✨ Spreading Holiday Cheer, Cub Style! ✨🎁 During Library this month, Mrs. Glass and Mrs. Katherine helped our Cubs participate in the My Dear Friend program — a beautiful initiative that fights loneliness in nursing homes during the holiday season. 💌❤️ Our students poured their hearts into writing messages of kindness, and together we created HUNDREDS of cards to send out this December. 🎄🤗📝 We also used this moment of giving to kick off our 12 Days of Christmas for our amazing SCES staff… because nothing says Cub Pride like choosing to love, learn, and lead through giving to others. 🐾🎅 So proud of our Cubs and the joy they’re spreading this season! ❄️💙

❄️🎨 Winter Magic in the Courtyard! 🎨❄️ Our 5th grade Cubs were Active Collaborators and helped transform our courtyard into a cozy winter wonderland! ⛄✨ With teamwork, they filled the windows with beautiful winter scenes that bring so much joy to our school. We love watching our Cubs love, learn, and lead in every season! 💙🐾

📣 Big shoutout to our amazing Student Leadership Club! 🐻💙 This morning, our leaders helped run the PBIS Cub Store and they did an incredible job! 🛍️✨ Students checked their points, chose their rewards, and “shopped” for fun items like pencils, erasers, or special coupons. ✏️🧼🎟️ Our student leaders showed what it means to be active collaborators and effective communicators as they greeted customers, helped them check out, and kept everything running smoothly. 🧠🤝💬 We are SO proud of these Cubs for leading with confidence and kindness! 🌟🐾 Love. Full-Time & Part-Time Opportunities

We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our Transportation Team as full-time and part-time bus drivers, as well as part-time preschool monitors. Bus drivers work from 5:45 AM–9:00 AM and 2:00 PM–5:00 PM, enjoy being off whenever students are off, and receive year-round pay. No CDL is required—paid training is provided—and drivers have the opportunity to take field trips, including with their own children. Full-time positions are eligible for benefits. Our preschool monitor roles are perfect for anyone who loves working with young children and wants a rewarding, part-time schedule. They work 7:10-8:40 & 3:30-5:00, Monday through Thursday!

This is an ideal opportunity for a parent searching for a role that fits their child’s schedule, a retiree looking for something extra, or anyone who wants to give back to the community in a meaningful way.

🍁✨ Harvest Day Fun in 2nd Grade! ✨🍁 Earlier this week, our 2nd grade Cubs stepped back in time for a hands-on Harvest Day celebration! As Engaged Citizens, they explored traditions of Native Americans and Pilgrims and learned how these communities worked, created, and celebrated together. 🤎🌾 Our Cubs became Active Collaborators as they: 🧈 shook and made their own butter 🧶 weaved colorful placemats 🤝 created friendship bracelets ⛺ designed teepees decorated with Native American symbols To wrap it up, they shared a sweet and silly Charlie Brown-style Friendsgiving — the perfect blend of history, friendship, and fun! 🦃💛 We love watching our learners love, learn, and lead every single day at SCES! 🐾💙

🎉 Tech Teacher for the Day: Gabe Austin! 🎉 Today we had the absolute best guest take over the Technology Classroom—Gabe Austin, who earned this experience by purchasing Tech Teacher for the Day at our Fall Festival Auction! And let us tell you… he did not disappoint! 💻✨ Gabe jumped right in by preparing computers for our classes and making sure everything was ready for students to learn. He passed out Clever badges like a pro, helped fix tech problems around the room, and kept everything running smoothly! But he didn’t stop there… 🎬 He created his very own stop-motion video, and then turned around and taught another group of students how to make one too—what a leader! 🎄 To top it all off, he added his creative touch by decorating the Technology Classroom Christmas Tree. It looks amazing! We are so proud of Gabe and the hard work, leadership, and creativity he showed today. 💙 Way to go, Tech Teacher Austin! 🚀💻✨

🦃🍂 Friendsgiving Fun in Ms. Mac’s Class! 🍂🦃 Our Cubs in Ms. Mac’s class had the best Friendsgiving celebration today! As Active Collaborators, they worked together to disguise turkeys and even created their own turkey recipes. Their creativity was off the charts! 🎨🦃✨ They also stepped up as Effective Communicators, sharing what they’re thankful for and creating special potholders for their families — complete with handprint turkeys and sweet gratitude messages. 🖐️💛 The day was filled with laughs, learning, and lots of thankfulness… the perfect way to love, learn, lead at SCES! 💙🐾

🥧🎉 Pumpkin Pie Taste Test in Ms. Hutchins’ Class! 🎉🥧 This week our kindergarten Cubs in Ms. Hutchins class had a deliciously fun time! Students tried pumpkin pie and voted on whether they liked it or not… and guess what? Almost everyone gave it a big thumbs-up! 👍😄 This tasty activity let our Cubs practice being Effective Communicators as they shared their opinions and Empowered Learners as they made their own choices. Learning is always sweeter when we love, learn, and lead together! 💛📚🐾
