Mrs. Peter's and Ms. Emily's classroom celebrated Thanksgiving this week by counting their blessings and learning how to make a special dessert in a cup. They worked together as active collaborators to prepare a mighty feast! Our Cubs loved putting their math skills to work.

Our 5th graders at SCES loved decorating coffee sleeves for Revival! Students were able to be engaged citizens by collaborating with a local business to help spread holiday cheer.

Congratulations to our 5th grade students for graduating from the DARE program. This program helps encourage our students to stay drug and alcohol free. Students won awards for their DARE essays. We appreciate the help from Officer Schmidt, Deputy Judge Veto, and Sheriff Ware for helping honor our students today.

Our 5th graders got to meet News Quiz's Kelsey Starks! Mrs. Starks talked to the kids about journalism, the News Quiz studio, and even had a question/answer session. Then Mrs. Starks joined the group from STLP to learn about our very own news show, Bearly News.

We are looking forward to Grinch Week. ๐December 16-December 20
