Mrs. Pollett's class were empowered learners & active collaborators as they learned about text features by reading about owls. On Friday, they dissected owl pellets as a real world connection to how text features can help deepen their understanding.

Last Friday SCES had a special visit from the Kentucky Commissioner of Education, Dr. Robbie Fletcher.
Dr. Fletcher and several memebers of his team were welcomed into classrooms and saw first hand the amazing learning going on daily at Spencer County Elementary.
Members of our Student Council (Leadership) provided a tour of our building including stops in the technology and STEAM classrooms.
