Last week our 8th grade class from SCMS, as well as a small group of 9th grade students from SCHS, visited the Shelby County Area Technology Center (ATC) to learn more about the schoolโs career pathways opportunities. These high-demand pathways include areas such as pre-nursing and dental, welding, machine tool, industrial maintenance, automotive and diesel technology, business and information technology (IT).
Mark Your Calendar! If you and your student are interested in learning more, make plans to attend the Shelby County ATCโs Open House on January 16, 2025 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

On Saturday, SCMS dance competed against some tough teams and got 2nd place out of 5 in pom and 3rd place out of 6 in hip hop. Sunday, we got 1st place out of two in both routines, best of pom award, and lots of individual dancer awards! Not to mention Spencer County Dance as a whole swept the competition today! Go Grizzlies ๐๐ป
