The Thinking Strategies Plan at SCMS will focus on job-embedded professional development throughout the year. Our plan has two parts including a book study on Mosaic of Thought by Keene & Zimmerman, and teacher leadership led by our Thinking Strategies trained SCMS teachers. Mosaic of Thought will be used as a resource to teach our teachers the strategies. Our TS trained teachers will model a different strategy every month in a video which will be viewed by all staff during our Professional Learning Communities. During the PLC teachers will then discuss the videos and connect to the book. In addition, our Instructional Coach will do individual training on the Workshop Model throughout the year.
